Siding and Window Contractors in Clinton and Flemington, NJ: A Verified Guide for North Hunterdon

The Guide: Siding and Window Contractors in Clinton and Flemington, NJ

Siding and window work in New Jersey is registered, not licensed. Every company that re-sides a house or replaces its windows for a homeowner is required to hold a Home Improvement Contractor registration — the number that begins 13VH — and the state records that registration to a legal entity and a town, both of which are frequently not the ones on the company’s website. The registration is free to check and takes ninety seconds. This guide does it for nineteen companies.

Two things distinguish this trade from roofing, and both are on this page. The first is that siding tear-off and window replacement on any house built before 1978 fall under a federal lead-paint rule with its own certification, which almost nobody publishes — and Flemington’s historic district and the older streets of Clinton and High Bridge are exactly where that rule bites. The second is that North Hunterdon has its own siding trade: five companies in this guide keep premises, or are recorded by the state, inside the towns it covers, and one of them — Bullseye Siding — does siding, windows and doors and nothing else.

How We Selected These Companies

This guide covers eight places: Clinton, Annandale, Lebanon, Flemington, Raritan Township, Readington Township (including Whitehouse Station), Tewksbury Township (including Oldwick) and Califon.

A company appears here if it installs or replaces residential siding or windows for homeowners in those towns, publishes that work as a named service on its own website, and holds a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor registration that the state records as active. For a company based outside the seven towns, its own website has to name one of them, or Hunterdon County, as somewhere it works, or its premises have to sit in Hunterdon County within a few miles of them. That is the whole test. It is not a test of size, of price, of how long a company has been trading, or of what we think of its work. Nineteen companies meet it and are listed alphabetically. A company that does roofing only is on our roofing guide for these towns instead.

What a company publishes about itself is not the criterion. It is the content. Where a business publishes a registration number, this guide prints it and reports what the state record says about it. Where a business publishes nothing, this guide says so plainly and dates the statement. Neither is a compliment or a complaint.

About This Guide

This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Companies appear here because they meet the criteria described above — they install or replace residential siding or windows for homeowners in the towns this guide covers, publish it as a service, and hold an active state registration. That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No company can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the comparison table says about it. Companies are listed alphabetically, and every detail in the table was verified against each company’s own website and against the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs registrant record in September 2026.

Everything under the heading that begins this guide is governed by the rules above, on every guide we publish. Where a sponsor’s message appears above that heading, it is paid for and labelled, and it buys nothing in the guide. Garden State Circle is supported by the businesses that participate in it. Participation pays for our ongoing work: keeping a business’s entry accurate, re-checking its record, and publishing a page of its own details that the business maintains. There is no paid placement in this guide. Participation does not buy a place here, a position here, or anything the comparison table says.

Garden State Circle is published locally in New Jersey by Jake Slowinski and covers Clinton, Annandale, Lebanon, Flemington, Raritan Township, Readington Township (including Whitehouse Station), Tewksbury Township (including Oldwick) and Califon. Which of These Companies Is Actually in North Hunterdon

Flemington has Fox Chase Contracting on Minneakoning Road, and the state records Bullseye Siding there; Google places Bullseye on Rockafellows Mill Road, which its own site does not print. Lebanon has Hunterdon Roofing, Siding & Window Company on Route 31 and Home Exteriors Direct on Main Street. Deegan Brothers lists an Old Highway 22 office in Clinton among four addresses, and Euro Roofing & Siding is in Ringoes, in the same county. Kepo Siding & Windows is in Hillsborough; Benchmark Siding Co., Lasting Construction & Improvements, Markey Windows, Doors & More, Mighty Dog Roofing of Bridgewater, Proven Contracting, Tyler Roofing and W.C. Construction are in Bridgewater and Branchburg, and OTX Home Remodeling is in Manville. Markey’s East Main Street showroom in Bridgewater is the nearest place to these towns where a homeowner can walk in and look at a window. Travelling in from further out, and each naming Hunterdon County or its towns on its own site: Magnolia Home Remodeling Group from Union, New Jersey Siding & Windows from Randolph and A-1 Affordable Construction from Clifton.

The state registers four of the companies in this guide somewhere other than the town they publish. None of that is a mark against anybody. It is why the table carries both towns.

Registrations, registered entity names, statuses and towns were verified against the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs registrant record, and services and credentials against each company’s own website and the manufacturer directories named in the entries, in September 2026.

A Note on Reading the Registration Column

Twelve of the nineteen companies in the table publish a New Jersey registration number on their own website, and one publishes a number that is a digit short. That is the first thing the table shows, and on its own it is only mildly interesting. The second thing it shows is the reason the column is split in two.

The registered name is often not the trading name. Fox Chase Contracting’s registration is held by Fox Chase Maintenance Co LLC. Deegan Brothers is registered as Q & A Corp., with the trade names appended. Euro Roofing & Siding is Euro Construction Group LLC. Mighty Dog Roofing of Bridgewater is registered to a franchisee, JDC Property Management Company LLC. Every one of those is lawful, ordinary and invisible to a homeowner typing a company name into the state’s search box.

The registered town is not always the published town. Deegan Brothers publishes a Clinton office and is registered in Phillipsburg. Euro Roofing & Siding publishes Ringoes and is registered in Lawrenceville. Proven Contracting publishes Bridgewater and is registered in Livingston, one of the four offices it lists. Mighty Dog Roofing of Bridgewater is registered in Mount Laurel. A registered office and an operating office are different things and a company is entitled to both.

Two companies publish a number a homeowner cannot check. Hunterdon Roofing, Siding & Window Company displays a Pennsylvania registration, PA161132, and not its New Jersey one, 13VH00209500. Euro Roofing & Siding prints 13VH1119300, a digit short of its actual registration, 13VH11193000.

How to check a registration yourself

Search the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs licensee verification for Home Improvement Contractors, using the business search rather than the individual one. You can search by the 13VH number if you have it, or by the beginning of the registered name — the name search matches from the start of the name, so a partial word at the front works and a word from the middle does not. The result gives the registered entity, the number, the status and the town. It is free.

What the registration is, and what it is not

A 13VH registration means the business has registered with the state, carries commercial general liability insurance of at least $500,000 per occurrence, and is subject to the Contractors’ Registration Act. It is not a competency examination and it is not a trade licence — New Jersey does not test siding and window installers the way it tests electricians, plumbers or heating contractors. It tells you a business exists on the record and can be found again. That is worth having and it is not the same as skill.

The One Certification Almost Nobody in This Guide Publishes

The federal Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting rule applies to any house built before 1978. Siding tear-off and window replacement both trigger it by definition, because both disturb painted surfaces on the outside of the house. A firm doing that work on a pre-1978 house is required to hold its own EPA Lead-Safe firm certification, with a firm number, separate from anything the state issues. Flemington’s historic district, the older streets of Clinton and High Bridge, and much of the housing along Route 22 and Route 31 predate 1978, and the year built for any address is on the municipal tax record.

One company in this guide publishes an EPA Lead-Safe firm number: Proven Contracting, NAT-F124892-3. The rest publish nothing either way, which is not a finding about whether they hold it — EPA no longer runs a public directory a homeowner can check, so we could not check it for them, and we do not print a column we cannot fill honestly. What a homeowner can do is ask for the number rather than a reassurance, and check the house’s year built on the municipal tax record before signing. We have asked every company on this page for its number, and the answers will be published here as they arrive.

One Name Google Leads With That Is Not in the Table

Ask Google for a siding and window contractor in Flemington or Clinton and it leads with three companies. Two — Bullseye Siding and Hunterdon Roofing, Siding & Window Company — are in the table. The third, Caribbean Roofing and Home Remodeling on Main Street in Flemington, is not, and it is not here because of the one rule this guide will not bend: we print a registration only when the state records it as active on the day we check, and we do not print anything else about a named business’s standing. The day that record reads active, the company goes on the page.

The Question This Table Cannot Answer Yet

Almost every company here publishes both siding and windows, and most publish roofing, decks or masonry beside them. What no website says is which of those the company does with its own crew and which it subcontracts, and it is the single fact most likely to decide how the job goes. We are asking it, company by company, together with the Lead-Safe question above, and the answers will be published in this table as they arrive. If you have had siding or windows done in these towns by a company on this page, write to admin@gardenstatecircle.com and tell us who actually turned up.

Common Questions

Does a siding or window installer in Clinton or Flemington, NJ need a licence?

Not a trade licence. New Jersey requires registration as a Home Improvement Contractor — the 13VH number — with commercial general liability insurance of at least $500,000 per occurrence and a written contract for any job over $500. The Contractors’ Registration Act names siding and windows squarely. Every company in the table holds an active registration, and the table says which of them publish it.

Is my house old enough for the lead rule to apply?

If it was built before 1978, yes, and in Flemington’s historic district and the older parts of Clinton and High Bridge that describes most houses. The year built is on the tax record for every property. The rule covers siding removal and window replacement on such a house regardless of whether lead paint has ever been found there, because the work disturbs painted surfaces by definition. The contractor, not the homeowner, is the one who must hold the certification.

What should a siding contract actually say?

New Jersey requires a written contract for any home improvement job over $500, and it must carry the contractor’s registration number. Beyond that, the useful items are the manufacturer and product line by name, whether house wrap and flashing are included, who removes and disposes of the old siding, whether rotted sheathing found underneath is priced or excluded, and who holds the workmanship warranty if the company changes hands.

Why does the registered name not match the company name?

Because registration attaches to a legal entity and trading names are free to differ from it. Several companies in this guide are registered under a name that is not the one on their website — a holding company, a personal-names LLC, a franchisee entity. It is normal, and it is why searching the state registry by the name on your estimate often returns nothing.

What does a manufacturer certification actually get me?

Access to the manufacturer’s longer warranties, which are only available through installers it has certified, and some evidence of installation training. James Hardie, Andersen and ProVia each run installer programmes with tiers. Several companies here name a tier on their own site; we have not checked those claims at the manufacturers, so this guide does not compare them in a column. Ask the installer for the manufacturer’s own listing.

Who Governs Siding and Window Work in Clinton and Flemington, NJ

Siding and window work in New Jersey answers to two state agencies with confusingly similar names, and they do different things. The registration — the 13VH number in the table above — is issued by the Division of Consumer Affairs, Regulated Business Section — (973) 504-6370 — which is where the registration check described above is run. The permit belongs to the Uniform Construction Code, N.J.A.C. 5:23, written by the Department of Community Affairs, Division of Codes and Standards — (609) 292-7899 — and enforced by each municipality’s own construction office, listed below. New Jersey adopted the 2024 editions of its construction subcodes on August 17, 2026; the one- and two-family dwelling subcode is the International Residential Code 2024, New Jersey edition (N.J.A.C. 5:23-3.21), and the energy subcode is the International Energy Conservation Code 2024 (N.J.A.C. 5:23-3.18), per the Division’s current-codes table, read September 2, 2026.

Every office above was opened and read on September 2, 2026. Names are published only where the municipality publishes them.

Clinton is two municipalities. The Town of Clinton and Clinton Township are separate governments with separate construction offices — the Town’s on Leigh Street, the Township’s on Route 31 in Lebanon — and a Clinton mailing address can belong to either; Annandale is inside the Township. The Town of Clinton runs construction and zoning as one office and publishes no direct line or hours, so the town’s main number is the route. Clinton Township says a zoning permit is obtained from its Zoning Officer under Code §165-53 before building permits are closed out. Flemington’s Construction / Zoning Department no longer takes inspection requests by phone; they go through the SDL portal. The two Clinton offices share staff crosswise — the Township’s Construction Official is the Town’s building inspector, and the Town’s Construction Official is the Township’s plumbing subcode official — which is why the same name can turn up at both.

Lebanon Borough, High Bridge Borough, Readington Township — which is where Whitehouse Station sits — and Tewksbury Township, which holds Oldwick, each have their own construction office. We have not yet opened those offices and do not list them here; the state search above works in every one of them, and the permit office is found on each town’s own website.

Fee schedules are adopted by ordinance and change. Whether a particular job needs a permit is interpreted by the town’s own construction office, not by us. We publish what each municipality published, with the date we checked it — confirm with the office before you rely on it, and if any of it has changed, the correction address at the foot of this page is the fastest way to tell us.

Something Out of Date?

This guide is maintained. If anything here is wrong or has changed — a name, an address, a registration number, a certification, or whether a business has closed — tell us and we will check it. Businesses listed here are welcome to write in directly, and a company that publishes a registration number we have recorded as absent is exactly the kind of correction we want.

And if you run a siding or window company that should be on this list and is not, write to us. We would rather be told than be incomplete. The test is the same one every company here cleared: that you install or replace residential siding or windows for homeowners in Clinton, Flemington, Annandale, Lebanon, High Bridge, Whitehouse Station or Oldwick, and that you publish that work as a service on your own website. A permit pulled in one of those municipalities, a completed job, or your registration will do it. Show us that and you go on the page.
