The Guide: Auto Repair Shops in Franklin Township, NJ
How to Use This Guide
This guide lists the independent auto repair shops with a garage in Franklin Township (Somerset, Franklin Park), Manville, North Plainfield and South Bound Brook, followed by the dealership service departments in the same towns. Both lists are alphabetical.
Each shop’s row shows the town it is based in, the makes and specialties its own pages name, whether those pages say the shop is Blue Seal Recognized or publishes ASE-certified technicians, whether they say it performs New Jersey state inspections, and the services it lists. Best For is a short note on the vehicles or work the shop highlights on its own pages. Where a shop’s pages do not say, the cell reads Not published. The last column shows the month we checked that shop’s record.
This guide covers Franklin Township (Somerset, Franklin Park), Manville, North Plainfield and South Bound Brook. A shop is listed when it has a garage at a street address in those towns, does general mechanical repair, has its own website or its own Google Business Profile, and is independent rather than part of a national chain. The dealership service departments in these towns are in a separate table below the shops.
About This Guide
This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Auto repair shops appear here because they meet the criteria described above — a garage at a street address in Franklin Township (Somerset, Franklin Park), Manville, North Plainfield and South Bound Brook, general mechanical repair, its own website or its own Google Business Profile, and independent ownership rather than a national chain. That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No business can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the table says about it. Businesses are listed alphabetically, and every detail in the table was verified against each business’s own website or Google Business Profile in October 2026.
Everything under the heading that begins this guide is governed by the rules above, on every guide we publish. Garden State Circle is supported by the businesses that participate in it. Participation pays for our ongoing work: keeping a business’s entry accurate, re-checking its record, and publishing a page of its own details that the business maintains. There is no paid placement in this guide. Participation does not buy a place here, a position here, or anything the comparison table says. Where a row carries a verification date, that is when we last checked that business’s record ourselves. A row without one has not been checked recently — that is a fact about our work, not about the business.
Garden State Circle is published in New Jersey by Tiffany and Jake Slowinski and covers Franklin Township (Somerset, Franklin Park), Manville, North Plainfield and South Bound Brook. Contact the publisher at jake@gardenstatecircle.com. How every guide is made, in one place: how every guide is made.

Common Questions
Is this every auto repair shop in these towns?
No list like this is ever complete or permanent. This page reflects what each shop’s own website or Google Business Profile said as of October 2026, and it is checked periodically. If you know of a shop that should be here, use the correction address at the bottom of the page.
Are national chains included?
No. National chains, and businesses that do only tires, oil changes, glass, or body and collision work, are not in the shop tables. Franchised dealerships are in their own table.
Does a business have to pay to be listed?
No. Every business on this page is here by meeting the same test, described at the start of the page.
What does the ASE column mean?
It records what a shop’s own pages say: either that the shop is Blue Seal Recognized, or that it publishes ASE-certified technicians. Not published means the pages we read say neither. ASE’s own Blue Seal shop locator is linked under Additional Resources.
Do these shops do New Jersey state inspections?
The inspection column reads Performs state inspections, as published only where a shop’s own pages say so. Not published means the pages we read do not say either way. The state’s inspection information is linked under Additional Resources.
Page built and verified: October 2026.

Something out of date?
This guide is maintained. If anything here is wrong or has changed — a name, an address, a service, or whether a shop has closed — tell us and we will check it. Businesses listed here are welcome to write in directly.
And if you run an auto repair shop with a garage in Franklin Township (Somerset, Franklin Park), Manville, North Plainfield and South Bound Brook that should be on this list and is not: the test is the same one every shop here met — a garage at a street address in those towns, general mechanical repair, your own website or Google Business Profile, and independent ownership. Show us that and you go on the page.
