How We Selected These Parks
This guide lists the water parks in New Jersey that meet the criteria described above, and the parks within about three hours of the state line that offer on-site lodging. Every park’s address and official website are printed with its record; every detail was checked against the park’s own website in the month shown.
A park qualifies for this guide if its own site calls it a water park, or if it publishes at least one water slide plus a wave pool, lazy river or splash area open to the public on a ticket. Indoor and outdoor parks both qualify. Municipal pools with a slide, hotel pools, spray grounds, beaches and single boardwalk attractions are not water parks under this test.
The Record Checked column below shows the date each park’s facts were last read from its own site. Every park on this page was checked in September 2026.
About This Guide
This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Water parks appear here because they meet the criteria described above — indoor or outdoor, a slide plus a wave pool, lazy river or splash area, open to the public on a ticket. That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No park can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the comparison table says about it. Parks are listed alphabetically, and every detail in the table was verified against each park’s own website in September 2026.

Twelve of the parks on this page are in New Jersey; eight sit within about ninety minutes’ drive of the state line, in Pennsylvania and New York. Seven of the twenty are indoor, kept at a published year-round temperature; thirteen are outdoor and run a summer season that closes around Labor Day.
Nine of the twenty publish on-site lodging — a resort attached to the water park itself — and eleven do not. An indoor park with its own rooms, like Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge Poconos or Camelback’s Aquatopia, keeps operating through the months an outdoor park like Mountain Creek or Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is closed for the season.
