Yoga Studios in Chatham, Madison and Florham Park, NJ
By Tiffany Slowinski
Yoga is a category where the teacher can matter as much as the studio.
You can take the same general style of class with two different instructors and leave one thinking, “That was exactly what I needed,” and the other thinking, “I understood none of that.”
Both instructors may be excellent.
Fit matters.
If you are searching for yoga around Chatham, Madison or Florham Park, this guide is designed to help you narrow the studio first.
Then I would absolutely try a few teachers.
There are many reasons women come to yoga.
You may want flexibility.
Mobility.
Balance.
Strength.
Stress relief.
A lower-impact workout.
A complement to running or weight training.
A place to slow down.
A place to sweat.
Yes, those last two can both be yoga.
That is why style matters.
Vinyasa generally moves through poses with the breath.
Power yoga tends to be more athletic.
Hot yoga adds heat.
Yin usually slows down and holds positions longer.
Restorative yoga is typically even more supported and restful.
Gentle yoga can be a useful option when you want a slower pace.
Individual studios may define these differently, so read the actual schedule description.
For women who are new, I would look for beginner or foundations language.
If the studio does not have a class literally called Beginner Yoga, that does not mean beginners are not welcome.
Ask which class the studio recommends.
Also ask whether the room is heated.
This is useful information to have before arrival.
For women over 40, yoga can also meet you in a different place than it might have 20 years ago.
Maybe you care less about getting your leg behind your head.
Healthy development.
Maybe you care more about moving well, staying strong, maintaining balance and giving your hips some reason to forgive the number of hours you spend sitting.
Yoga can support that.
You do not need to be “good at yoga.”
You need a class appropriate for where you are.
If there is pregnancy, an injury, recent surgery or another health concern involved, talk with an appropriate healthcare professional about the activity and tell the instructor what they need to know.
Then check the logistics.
Chatham, Madison and Florham Park are close enough that a studio in the next town may be more convenient than one technically closer to your address.
Think about the route.
Think about class times.
Think about parking.
Think about whether you want a drop-in, trial offer or longer commitment.
The Garden State Circle guide helps compare yoga studios serving Chatham, Madison and Florham Park based on what each business publishes about class format, ownership, credentials and trial or drop-in options.
Use it if you are searching for yoga Chatham NJ, yoga Madison NJ, yoga Florham Park NJ, beginner yoga, hot yoga, vinyasa, yin yoga, restorative yoga, gentle yoga, yoga for women over 40, yoga for mobility or yoga classes near me.
Find the studio that feels comfortable.
Then find the teacher whose voice does not make you want to secretly check how much class time is left.
That is chemistry.

The Guide: Yoga Studios in Chatham and Madison, NJ
How We Selected These Studios
Studios in Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, Madison, Florham Park, Harding Township and Long Hill Township (Stirling, Millington and Gillette), and the nearby studios people here drive to. Studios in the first table are listed alphabetically and studios in the nearby table are listed nearest first; neither order is a ranking. A business is on this page because its own website publishes a street address in these towns and leads with yoga studios. The nearby table holds studios within about fifteen miles that people here drive to, and it widens past fifteen miles where a market holds fewer than six studios.
About This Guide
This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Studios appear here because they meet the criteria described above – a yoga studio as the business describes itself on its own website, with a street address it publishes in Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, Madison, Florham Park, Harding Township and Long Hill Township (Stirling, Millington and Gillette). That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No business can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the comparison table says about it. Businesses are listed alphabetically in the first table and nearest first in the nearby table, and every detail in the table was read from each business’s own website in September 2026. The credential column reports a public registration or the business’s own published words, checked on a date; a registration with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs concerns the sale of memberships, not the quality of instruction, and a studio may fall outside the facilities the Health Club Services Act defines.
Everything under the heading that begins this guide is governed by the rules above, on every guide we publish. Where a sponsor’s message appears above that heading, it is paid for and labeled, and it buys nothing in the guide. Garden State Circle is supported by the businesses that participate in it. Participation pays for our ongoing work: keeping a business’s entry accurate, re-checking its record, and publishing a page of its own details that the business maintains. There is no paid placement in this guide. Participation does not buy a place here, a position here, or anything the comparison table says. Where a row carries a verification date, that is when we last checked that business’s record ourselves. A row without one has not been checked recently – that is a fact about our work, not about the business.

Something out of date?
This guide is maintained. If anything here is wrong or has changed — a name, an address, hours, or ownership — tell us and we will check it. Businesses listed here are welcome to write in directly, and a business that publishes a detail we have recorded as Not published is exactly the kind of correction we want.
And if you run a yoga studio that should be on this list and is not: the test is the same one every business here cleared — that you lead with yoga in your own published words, or publish yoga classes alongside what you lead with, and that your premises sit somewhere in Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, Madison, Florham Park, Harding Township and Long Hill Township (Stirling, Millington and Gillette). Show us that and you go on the page.
