The Guide: Dentists in High Bridge, NJ
New Jersey licenses dentists as individuals, not as practices. The state keeps a public register of every dentist it has licensed, with a number and a current status, and anyone can search it for free. It takes about a minute, and the steps are at the bottom of this page.
This guide lists every general dental practice we could find with an office in High Bridge, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Lebanon Borough or Bloomsbury, names the dentists each practice names on its own website, and shows what the state register said about each of those names on the day we checked. It also records who owns each practice and how each one takes a new patient, in each practice’s own words.
How We Selected These Practices
A practice appears here if it meets three tests. It is a general dental practice, according to its own website. It has an office you can walk into in High Bridge, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Lebanon Borough or Bloomsbury, stated on its own website or on the business profile it maintains on Google. And at least one dentist it names holds a New Jersey dental license that the state register showed as Active on September 3, 2026.
That is deliberately a low bar, and it admits nearly everyone. Specialists — orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons and pediatric dentists — are not on this list, because each of those is its own category with its own guide, and a general practice that employs a specialist is listed as a general practice. A practice that failed one of the three tests is not deleted: it sits in a labelled section below the main list with its address and the reason, so you can see who we could not check rather than wonder why a name is missing.
Three practices meet the tests. They are listed alphabetically. Two group-owned offices that still appear on their parent companies’ websites are not listed, because we could not confirm an open office at the address; if either is open, the correction address at the bottom of this page is for exactly that.
About This Guide
This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Practices appear here because they meet the criteria described above — a general dental practice with an office in one of the towns this guide covers and at least one named dentist whose New Jersey license the state register showed as Active. That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No practice can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the comparison table says about it. Practices are listed alphabetically, and every detail in the table was verified against each practice’s own website and against the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs licensee register in September 2026.
Everything under the heading that begins this guide is governed by the rules above, on every guide we publish. Where a sponsor’s message appears above that heading, it is paid for and labelled, and it buys nothing in the guide. Garden State Circle is supported by the businesses that participate in it. Participation pays for our ongoing work: keeping a business’s entry accurate, re-checking its record, and publishing a page of its own details that the business maintains. There is no paid placement in this guide. Participation does not buy a place here, a position here, or anything the comparison table says. Nothing on this page is medical advice. Every treatment described here carries risks that depend on your own health and history, and the person to discuss them with is a licensed provider who has examined you.
Garden State Circle is published in New Jersey by Tiffany and Jake Slowinski and covers High Bridge, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Lebanon Borough and Bloomsbury. Contact the publisher at jake@gardenstatecircle.com. How every guide is made, in one place: how every guide is made.
What This Guide Cannot Tell You
Two things, and they are worth stating plainly. The state register tells us that a person holds a New Jersey dental license and what its status was on the day we looked. It does not tell us where that person practises, how many days a week they are in a given office, or whether they are the dentist you will actually see. For that, the practice’s own website is the source, and the table shows what each one publishes.
The second limit is the new-patients column. It records how each practice says a new patient starts — an online booking system, a set of new-patient forms, or an appointment request form — and nothing else. A few practices state on their sites that they are accepting new patients; we have not checked that with any of them, and a sentence like that can be a year old. The column does not say whether the answer will be yes.
What the Register Statuses Mean
Most dentists named in this guide showed as Active on the register. Four did not, and the table says so in each case. A license marked Inactive or Retired is a status the licensee can elect and the board records; a license marked Expired has passed its renewal date on the register. We print what the register showed on September 3, 2026, next to the name as the practice itself publishes it. That is a fact about the register on one day. It is not a statement that anyone is practising without a license, and a practice may still list a dentist who has retired from the chair. If it matters to you, ask the practice which dentist you will see, and check that name yourself using the steps in the questions section below.
The Practices, Compared
Listed alphabetically. The dentists column shows names exactly as each practice writes them on its own website; where a practice has no website, the names come from the business profile it maintains on Google, and the entry below says so. The license column shows what the state register returned for each of those names on September 3, 2026. Ownership and new-patient columns restate what the practice itself publishes; Not published means we read the website and the fact is not on it, and Not found by us means we could not read a page to check.

Checked against the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs Dentistry licensee search.
License statuses were read from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs license verification register on September 3, 2026, by searching each name as a person under the profession Dentistry and the license type Dentist. Practice details were verified against each practice’s own website in September 2026.
A Note on Reading the Table
Names are printed exactly as each practice writes them, which is why some carry a degree and some do not, and why one row reads “Dr. Kaur, DDS” with no first name. Where a practice’s website and the register give a different degree for the same person, we print the name without the letters rather than choose between two sources. The register lists an address of record for each dentist; we do not print it, because it is often a home address and it says nothing about where the person practises.
Ownership is a fact, not a grade. Independently owned means the practice says so on its own site or names its owner-dentist; Part of a group means the practice’s own site, or the group’s own location list, says so. Not published means the site says nothing either way, and we do not treat silence as independence. Nothing about one arrangement is better than the other, and this guide does not say it is.
The Practices
Hunterdon Family Dental Care, Lebanon
Hunterdon Family Dental Care, at 1390 US Highway 22, Suite 201, in Lebanon, names Dr. Hua Zhu, Dr. Chera and Dr. Simms, all DDS, states that it accepts all emergencies, and publishes Saturday hours from 8 am to 2 pm.
Jeffrey B. Thorne, DDS, Lebanon
Jeffrey B. Thorne, DDS, practises at 43 Main Street in Lebanon; the site describes an independently owned practice and asks new patients to schedule by contacting the office, and its contact page could not be loaded on the day the table was checked.
Signature Smiles of Hunterdon, Lebanon
Signature Smiles of Hunterdon, at 126 Main Street in Lebanon, names four dentists — Erin O’Grodnick, Nicholas Hrehovcik, Vincent Schaible and Sallyanne Bonner — and asks new patients to email the practice with a preferred day and time; on September 3, 2026, the register showed Dr. O’Grodnick and Dr. Hrehovcik as Active and Dr. Schaible and Dr. Bonner as Inactive.
Common Questions
How do I check a dentist’s license in High Bridge, NJ?
Go to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs license verification site, choose the person search rather than the business search, set the profession to Dentistry and the license type to Dentist, and enter the last name. The result shows the name, the license number, and the current status. Search the person, not the practice — practices are not licensed in New Jersey, dentists are.
What does Inactive, Retired or Expired mean on the New Jersey register?
They are statuses the register records against a license: Inactive and Retired are elected by the licensee and recorded by the board, and Expired means the renewal date has passed. This guide prints what the register showed on the date at the top of the table, next to the name the practice publishes. It is not a finding that anyone is practising without a license, and it is not a statement about the practice; it is a reason to ask the practice which dentist you will see.
Does “Part of a group” mean a practice in High Bridge, NJ is worse, or better?
Neither. It means the practice’s own website, or the group’s own list of locations, says the practice belongs to a larger company. Some readers want to know that before they book, which is why the column exists. The guide records the fact and makes no judgment about it.
Does “Not published” under new patients mean a dentist in High Bridge, NJ is not taking patients?
No. It means the practice’s website does not describe how a new patient starts — no booking system, no forms, no request form. Every practice in this guide publishes a phone number, and a call will answer the question faster than any website.
Why are there no orthodontists or oral surgeons in this guide?
Because they are different categories with different licenses and permits, and each gets its own guide. Oral surgeons serving Flemington and Clinton already have one, linked below. Where a general practice employs a specialist, the table says so in the dentists column.

Something Out of Date?
This guide is maintained. If anything here is wrong or has changed — a dentist who has joined or left a practice, a license status, an address, a booking method, or whether a practice has closed — tell us and we will check it. Practices listed here are welcome to write in directly, and a practice that names a dentist we have recorded as not on its site is exactly the kind of correction we want.
And if you run a general dental practice with an office in High Bridge, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Lebanon Borough or Bloomsbury that should be on this list, write to us. The criteria are the same for everyone: a general dental practice, an office you can walk into in one of those towns stated on your own website or Google profile, and at least one named dentist whose New Jersey license shows as Active. If you meet them, you go on.
