The Guide: Dentists in Somerville and Hillsborough, NJ

New Jersey licenses dentists as individuals, not as practices. The state keeps a public register of every dentist it has licensed, with a number and a current status, and anyone can search it for free. It takes about a minute, and the steps are at the bottom of this page.

This guide lists every general dental practice we could find with an office in Somerville Borough or Hillsborough Township, names the dentists each practice names on its own website, and shows what the state register said about each of those names on the day we checked. It also records who owns each practice and how each one takes a new patient, in each practice’s own words. Bridgewater Township, which surrounds the borough, has its own guide; this one covers the county seat and, south across the Raritan, Hillsborough Township.

How We Selected These Practices

A practice appears here if it meets three tests. It is a general dental practice, according to its own website. It has an office you can walk into in Somerville Borough or Hillsborough Township, stated on its own website or on the business profile it maintains on Google. And at least one dentist it names holds a New Jersey dental licence that the state register showed as Active on September 5, 2026.

That is deliberately a low bar, and it admits nearly everyone. Specialists — orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists, prosthodontists, oral surgeons and pediatric dentists — are not on this list, because each of those is its own category with its own guide. Somerville has a dense cluster of them, and the last question on this page names them so you know why they are missing. A practice that failed one of the three tests is not deleted: it sits in a labelled section below the main list with its address and the reason, so you can see who we could not check rather than wonder why a name is missing.

Twenty-seven practices meet the tests — thirteen in Somerville Borough and fourteen in Hillsborough Township — and they are listed alphabetically, with the town beside each name. Five more are listed below the table with the reason each could not be checked the same way. If any of that has changed, the correction address at the bottom of this page is for exactly that.

About This Guide

This guide is produced by Garden State Circle. Practices appear here because they meet the criteria described above — a general dental practice with an office in Somerville Borough or Hillsborough Township and at least one named dentist whose New Jersey licence the state register showed as Active. That is a test, not a judgment, and it is the only route onto this page. No practice can pay to be included in this guide, to be listed higher, or to change what the comparison table says about it. Practices are listed alphabetically, and every detail in the table was verified against each practice’s own website and against the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs licensee register in September 2026.

What This Guide Cannot Tell You

Two things, and they are worth stating plainly. The state register tells us that a person holds a New Jersey dental licence and what its status was on the day we looked. It does not tell us where that person practises, how many days a week they are in a given office, or whether they are the dentist you will actually see. For that, the practice’s own website is the source, and the table shows what each one publishes.

The second limit is the new-patients column. It records how each practice says a new patient starts — an online booking system, a set of new-patient forms, or an appointment request form — and nothing else. Several practices in the borough state on their sites that they are accepting or welcoming new patients; we have not checked that with any of them, and a sentence like that can be a year old. The column does not say whether the answer will be yes.

What the Register Statuses Mean

Of the forty-seven dentist names published across the twenty-seven practices in the table, forty-five showed as Active on the register on September 5, 2026. Two — one at each of two Hillsborough practices — showed as Expired, and the cells print those statuses, dated, with the entries explaining them. One name below the table showed as Inactive, and the entry says so. A licence marked Inactive or Retired is a status the licensee can elect and the board records; a licence marked Expired has passed its renewal date. None of those statuses says anything about the practice as a whole, and none of them means a person is practising without a licence — it is a reason to ask which dentist you will see. This guide prints what the register showed on the date at the top of the table, and nothing more.

The Practices, Compared

Listed alphabetically. The dentists column shows names exactly as each practice writes them on its own website; where a practice has no website we could find, the name comes from the business profile it maintains on Google, and the cell and the entry say so. The licence column shows the status the New Jersey register returned for each name on the date in the header. Ownership and new-patients restate what each practice publishes, and “Not published” means the site says nothing either way. Hours are as published, with evening and Saturday times called out because they are what most people are looking for.

Licence statuses were read from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs licence verification register on September 5, 2026, by searching each name as a person under the profession Dentistry and the licence type Dentist. Practice details were verified against each practice’s own website the same day. Where the table reads “Not found by us,” the practice has no website we could find; that is a limit of our check, not a statement about the practice.

A Note on Reading the Table

Names are printed exactly as each practice writes them, which is why some carry a degree and some do not, why one reads “Dr Irena Bobylyak” without a full stop, and why one reads “Dr. A. Chaudhry” with an initial. Where a practice’s own site and the register disagree on the degree letters, the name is printed without letters and the entry explains. Where the register shows a status other than Active against a name, the licence cell says which name and what it showed, dated, and nothing else.

Ownership is a fact, not a grade. Independently owned means the practice says so on its own site or names its owner-dentist; Part of a group means the practice’s own site, or the group’s own location list, says so. Not published means the site says nothing either way — and in Somerville nearly every site says nothing either way, which is why that value fills the column. A practice named after its dentist, or organised as a P.A., is not thereby “independently owned” in this table; the practice has to say it.

The site publishes neither office hours nor a way for a new patient to start beyond the phone number, so both cells read Not published. The register showed Lizabeth Sloane as Active on September 5, 2026.

All Brite Dentistry, Somerville

All Brite Dentistry, at 1 East High Street, names Dr. Kavitha Narla and publishes hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday. It takes appointments through a request button on its site. The register showed Kavitha Narla, DMD, as Active on September 5, 2026.

Bridge Smiles Dental Group, P.A., Somerville

Bridge Smiles Dental Group, P.A., at 15 North Bridge Street, also has an office in Neshanic Station; its staff page names Dr. Nancy Grewal, B.D.S, D.D.S, and Dr. Samuel Meghadri, and the locations page publishes Somerville hours of 9 am to 6 pm Monday and Thursday, to 5 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, to 2 pm Friday, and closed Saturday. New patients use an online appointment request form, and the site says new patients are welcome. The register showed both Nancy Grewal and Samuel V. Meghadri, DDS, as Active on September 5, 2026.

Charmoy Dental & Sleep Medicine, Somerville

Charmoy Dental & Sleep Medicine, at 78 East Main Street, is the practice of Richard P. Charmoy DMD; its general-dentistry site describes routine cleanings, root canal therapy, dental emergencies and implants under one roof, and the practice runs a separate site for oral-appliance sleep therapy from the same office. Its site banners that it is accepting new patients and open evenings, and published hours run Monday to Wednesday to 6 pm and Friday to 2 pm, with no Saturday hours. The register showed Bansi Patel as Active on September 5, 2026.

NJ DenTales Group, Somerville

NJ DenTales Group — the site also calls it NJ DenTales Group Surgical & Restorative Dentistry and DenTales LLC — at 100 West Brown Street names one dentist, Dr. Manpreet Anand, DDS. Its site answers "Are you accepting new patients?" with a yes, takes appointments through a contact-and-book form, and publishes its hours as open 24 hours, seven days a week, by appointment, with no day-by-day schedule; the table quotes that as published. The register showed Manpreet Anand as Active on September 5, 2026.

Precision Dental Group, Hillsborough

Precision Dental Group, at 491 Amwell Road, Suite 204, names Edward Chu, DDS, FAGD, and Christine Wong, DDS, a periodontist, and welcomes families for general, cosmetic and implant care with online consultation scheduling. Published hours include Tuesday to 6 pm, with Thursday and Saturday by appointment. The register showed Edward Chu and Christine Wong as Active on September 5, 2026.

Promenade Smiles Family Dentistry, Hillsborough

Promenade Smiles Family Dentistry, at 315 Route 206, Suite 903, in the Hillsborough Promenade, is part of the three-office Smiles Family Dentistry group. The group’s doctor directory names its dentists without saying who practises at which office; the Hillsborough page names the group’s co-founder Dr. Rick — Dr. Ricken Patel in that directory — and the practice books by phone. Published hours run 9 am to 5 pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and to 3 pm Friday, with no evening or Saturday hours. The register showed Ricken Patel as Active on September 5, 2026.

Somerset Dental Arts, Somerville

Somerset Dental Arts, at 279 East Main Street, names Dr. DawnMarie DiGrazia and states on its own site that it is accepting new patients; new patients start with the forms in its For Patients section or an appointment request link. Published hours are 10 am to 7 pm Monday, 8:30 am to 7 pm Tuesday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Wednesday and 9 am to 6 pm Thursday, closed Friday and Saturday. Somerville Comprehensive Dental Care, at 197 West High Street, names Dr. Bhairavi Sheth, treats patients of all ages, and carries a First Visit page, patient forms and an appointment form on its site. Published hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, closed weekends. The register showed Bhairavi Sheth-Patel as Active on September 5, 2026 — the register carries the hyphenated surname, the site the shorter one.

Somerville Dental, Somerville

Somerville Dental, at 31 North Doughty Avenue, names its dentist only as Dr. A. Chaudhry; the practice's Google profile gives the full name as Asad Chaudhry. Its site carries patient forms and offers a free consultation, and publishes hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Wednesday and 7 am to noon Friday, closed Thursday. On September 5, 2026, the register showed Asad N. Chaudhry, Somerville, as Active. The same search also returned an Ahmad Chaudhry, DMD, Somerville, as Expired; the site's initial does not distinguish the two, and the Active licence is the one the Google profile's name points to.

Somerville General Dentist, Somerville

Somerville General Dentist, at 374 East Main Street, names Nandni Wadhwa and says it is always welcoming new patients, without describing how one starts beyond the phone number. Published hours are noon to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 am to 6 pm Thursday. The register showed Nandni Wadhwa, DDS, as Active on September 5, 2026. Towne Centre Family Dental, Hillsborough

Towne Centre Family Dental and the Implant & Smile Makeover Studio, at 419 Route 206, names six dentists — Albert Internoscia, whose degree letters the site prints two ways, so they are omitted here; Christopher LaMorte, DMD; Lauren Psillos-Maldonado, DMD; Mark Lubitz, DMD; Kristen Blumberger, DMD, an endodontist; and Samantha Aaron, DMD, a periodontist — and says the practice is directed by Dr. Internoscia. Zufall Health – Somerville, Somerville

Zufall Health's Somerville medical and dental site, at 71 Fourth Street, is part of the Zufall Health network of community health centers; its page names one dentist, Riffat Haider, DMD, and publishes dental hours of 8 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Thursday, with the dental suite closed Monday, Friday and Saturday. The page does not say how a new dental patient starts. The register showed Riffat Haider as Active on September 5, 2026.

Listed in the Market, Not Checked the Same Way

A handful of directory and social pages place Mountain View Dental at 856 Route 206 and name Dr. Amira Riad; we could find no website of the practice’s own, and nothing the practice itself publishes that states its office or hours today. The register showed Amira A. Riad, DMD, as Active on September 5, 2026 — the licence is not in question; the office is what we could not verify.
