“… We take a lot of time on the front end. So, when the project kicks off, everybody can just sit back and relax. … the team knows … what needs to happen. The homeowners understand what’s about to happen. The selections are made, the materials have been procured and delivered to the home.”

Common Questions

What should a homeowner get in writing about rot?

“We list the price per sheet for plywood, the cost per foot for fascia, all these different conditions in their agreement. … It’s all spelled out in our agreements.”

What happens when siding comes off an older house and something is behind it?

“So, if we encounter an issue, we will immediately bring it to the homeowner’s attention. Now, if they’re not home, if they’re at work, if they’re on vacation, we’ll send them videos, we’ll send them pictures, we’ll FaceTime them, we’ll explain what we see, we’ll give them options.”

What is the season for siding, and how long does it take?

“If we’re stripping off and installing and there’s a reasonable amount of detail, but nothing outrageous, typical project gets done in maybe a week to week and a half. … if it’s a little bit more involved or it’s a higher-end product, that’s more … difficult to install, typically two weeks. The timelines we install siding, really 12 months out of the year, the only things that are really slowing us down are rain and heavy amounts of snow.”

How long does a roof take, and is there a time of year to avoid?

“Roofs are maybe two or three days at most. … if we can avoid installing roofs, or if homeowners can avoid installing roofs in the coldest part of winter, January, February … that’s advised.”

What happens once a job begins?

“… once we begin, we have a dedicated team of project managers that are assigned to each project, working with the homeowner, making sure they understand timelines, communications, and so on. We check in with every homeowner once a week on a call outside of the project manager just to make sure they have, see if they have questions, make sure they’re good, make sure we didn’t miss anything, just to take their temperature.”

What about change orders?

“Any change orders, budgetary changes, we’re sending to the homeowner for review and approval before that work gets completed, unless it’s absolutely necessary or an emergency, which is rare.”
